Balatro PC Finally got my first Gold Stake win using the Red Deck with two poly-chrome Joker Stencils, which was very lucky. **Update 1:** FINALLY BEAT NEBULA DECK! Dude, that was hard. Got super lucky in ante 1 and got 2 Ancient Jokers. Basically played flushes the whole match and finished this gold stake. **Update 2:** Almost done with the last deck, the fabled "Black Deck", so five wins to go.

Brink PC In my continuation for my love of this game, I beat it again and even bought the DLC for it. It's a good game, but its launch was pretty bad and plagued with bugs. They did fix it, but everyone moved on. *except me...*

Diablo PC Playing coop with Amber on my M1 MacBook and the Steam Deck with both of us using DevilutionX. I watched my Aunt play Diablo on her PS1 way way back in the day, and hearing the town music brought back some good childhood memories of the nineties. Now that I'm a big boy, it's finally time for me to play the game everyone raved about it 1996, but now in 2025. And man, this game is kicking my ass. Me and Amber got to the caves and instantly got swarmed as soon as we entered the floor and died. Spent an hour trying to get our equipment back but gave up and got lost all our gear. After that, I turned off friendly fire and started investing in DEX for my Warrior. Fun game still! *Update* YAY! We beat the game thanks to Amber and her Windforce bow. I'm gonna miss playing this game for the first time, and I can't wait to finally play Diablo 2!
Diablo III: Reaper of Souls PlayStation 4
Donkey Kong 64 Nintendo 64
Dredge PlayStation 5 I got the platinum trophy while dealing with a flooded apartment in Japan. Enjoyed collecting all the fish in this game and loved the gameplay loop. It starts a bit hard, but gets too easy later in the game. I didn't expect some horror elements, so that caught me off guard, but overall a nice gem worth trying!
Duke Nukem Forever Xbox 360
Earth Defense Force 2017 Xbox 360
Earthbound SNES / Super Famicom My aunt had a copy of DreamSNES for the Dreamcast and that's how I played this gem. The emulator on the Dreamcast ran at around 15fps and stuttered a lot. But I was a kid and didn't care, the game was that good so I just kept playing. I'll play it again on the Switch in Japanese next time since I forgot a lot about it. Also, AVGN did a video on this game and it's definitely one of his best vids to watch!

Half-Life PC Back in 1998, I asked the guy working the PC software section at Micro Center what game I should get, then he handed me a boxed copy of this and told me, "It will change your life". I installed it on the family computer running Windows 95 with 1GB of storage and 64MB of RAM and instantly finished puberty. I recently watched Amber play most of the game on PS2 and she agreed that it's a classic. No cutscenes, great environmental storytelling, and awesome encounters.

Resident Evil 5 PlayStation 4 I bought this game wayback in 2016 and hoped it would have split-screen trophies but it didn't, so I brushed it off and put it away. Before Amber left to Japan in 2019, I bought another copy and gave it to her so we can play while I was finishing up school. I finished the game on Veteran difficulty with her, then a year later, finished it on the hardest difficulty, Professional, with her. Then fast forward a few years, beat it again with her and got S-Rank on every level on the easiest difficulty, Amatuer.

Risk of Rain 2 PC Marking as beaten since I finished the Moon boss twice with different characters. This game can be addictive sometimes. Collecting items and stacking multiples of the same item feels good! Currently trying to unlock all the characters and *maybe* try to get all the achievements, which is hard since each challenge is an achievement.
Rogue Legacy PlayStation 4
Samurai Showdown Sen Xbox 360
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game Xbox 360
Silent Hill PlayStation
Silent Hill PlayStation Beat it a long time ago. I started a new playthrough on Normal using the Duckstation emulator on my M1 Max with x4 Native resolution and using a DualSence controller. I left off on the beginning of the Hospital area after meeting the Suit guy.
Silent Hill 2 PlayStation 2
Snatcher Sega CD / Mega CD
Sonic Adventure 2 Dreamcast
Sonic CD PC I finished the game (1/17/2025) on my Steam Deck OLED and it's nice to play on a widescreen display. What sucks is that music is missing the vocals, so everything is instrumental.
Soul Calibur II GameCube Only beat Arcade mode without continuing (1-credit) on default difficulty with Maxi
Spec Ops: The Line PC
Steins;Gate PlayStation Vita
Streets of Rage 4 Switch Played it with Amber and beat it on default settings. I remember she ran out of credits and I beat with a sliver of health remaining and no credits.

System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster PC Used Whisky on my M1 MacBook Pro to play LAN coop with Amber on the Steam Deck on the Hard Difficulty. I know Single Player is the best way to play this game, but I've always been interested in how a cooperative BioShock experience would fare. The comfort of another player near you does help lessen the horror aspects of the game, as well as the difficulty, however the level design continuously felt atmospheric and creepy. I loved SHODAN, and her voice, plus the other AI, Xerses. The audio logs scattered around also was a joy to listen to. Basically, if you played BioShock, then you'll feel right at home. Overall, this game is a classic and deserves the legacy that it carries.

Toy Soldiers Xbox 360
Toy Soldiers PC Finally completed this game on PC, and so far I've beaten this game three times on 360, Games for Windows Live, and now Steam. Every level was finished on 'Hard' difficulty and every level except one was finished with a 'General' rank (basically perfect)! This is a World War 1 Tower Defense game involving 'Toy Soldiers' where you can take control of a unit to gain more money and survive waves of enemies from entering your Toy Box. I love the retro soundtrack and aesthetic! I highly recommend trying it or checking out some gameplay on YouTube.
