Diablo PC Beaten Playing coop with Amber on my M1 MacBook and the Steam Deck with both of us using DevilutionX. I watched my Aunt play Diablo on her PS1 way way back in the day, and hearing the town music brought back some good childhood memories of the nineties. Now that I'm a big boy, it's finally time for me to play the game everyone raved about it 1996, but now in 2025. And man, this game is kicking my ass. Me and Amber got to the caves and instantly got swarmed as soon as we entered the floor and died. Spent an hour trying to get our equipment back but gave up and got lost all our gear. After that, I turned off friendly fire and started investing in DEX for my Warrior. Fun game still! *Update* YAY! We beat the game thanks to Amber and her Windforce bow. I'm gonna miss playing this game for the first time, and I can't wait to finally play Diablo 2!
System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster PC Beaten Used Whisky on my M1 MacBook Pro to play LAN coop with Amber on the Steam Deck on the Hard Difficulty. I know Single Player is the best way to play this game, but I've always been interested in how a cooperative BioShock experience would fare. The comfort of another player near you does help lessen the horror aspects of the game, as well as the difficulty, however the level design continuously felt atmospheric and creepy. I loved SHODAN, and her voice, plus the other AI, Xerses. The audio logs scattered around also was a joy to listen to. Basically, if you played BioShock, then you'll feel right at home. Overall, this game is a classic and deserves the legacy that it carries.
Earthbound SNES / Super Famicom Beaten My aunt had a copy of DreamSNES for the Dreamcast and that's how I played this gem. The emulator on the Dreamcast ran at around 15fps and stuttered a lot. But I was a kid and didn't care, the game was that good so I just kept playing. I'll play it again on the Switch in Japanese next time since I forgot a lot about it. Also, AVGN did a video on this game and it's definitely one of his best vids to watch!
System Shock PC Unfinished I was playing the CD version using 86Box using Windows 95. I reached Level 3 and got the Laser Rapier. I'm not stuck, but this game is LONG and will take me awhile to finish it. Decided to do some backtracking and all the enemies I killed respawned. That's one thing I don't like about this game, and I think that's why Doom still remains fun to play today. The keyboard 'SZXC' controls, instead of 'WASD', take some getting used to, but not too bad compared to other classic PC FPS games. I do like the idea of shooting cameras to lower the security rating (I wish lowering the rating affected the spawning of enemies). I'll stop playing and put it aside for now. The elevator music is good though, and Shodan's voice reminds me of Silent Hill!
Toy Soldiers PC Beaten Finally completed this game on PC, and so far I've beaten this game three times on 360, Games for Windows Live, and now Steam. Every level was finished on 'Hard' difficulty and every level except one was finished with a 'General' rank (basically perfect)! This is a World War 1 Tower Defense game involving 'Toy Soldiers' where you can take control of a unit to gain more money and survive waves of enemies from entering your Toy Box. I love the retro soundtrack and aesthetic! I highly recommend trying it or checking out some gameplay on YouTube.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 PC Unfinished Finished Act I on my Xbox with Game Pass, but this game is actually worth buying, so I got it on Steam and got a refund for Game Pass. In my Steam playthrough, I'm playing on the hardest difficulty. I forgot where I left off, but it's in the beginning still. I only have two characters in my party.
Borderlands 2 PC Beaten Handsome Jack, 'nuff said
